Cresco Systems Labs ("we," "us," or "our") operates the PoultryFarm mobile application. This policy explains clearly and transparently what data we collect, why we collect it, and the choices you have. By using the App, you agree to this policy.
We collect minimal data. Only what is strictly necessary to run the App securely, sync your operational records, and honour your marketplace privacy choices.
Information We Collect
We collect only the data needed to operate, secure, and improve the App. Here is exactly what we collect and why.
- Email Address — Required to create your account, authenticate securely, and allow login across devices.
The App stores operational data you input about your poultry business. This data belongs to you.
- Batch Records — Names, dates, bird counts, breed information.
- Financial Records — Expenses, sales, income, and cost analytics.
- Health Records — Vaccinations, mortality events, weight measurements.
Farm data is stored securely in the cloud via Firebase to enable synchronisation and backup across all your devices.
- Usage Data — Device type, OS version, IP address, timestamps, and general diagnostic data.
- Crash Logs — Diagnostic information automatically collected when the App encounters an error, used to identify and fix issues promptly.
- Marketplace Consent — We store whether a farmer has explicitly consented to participate in public marketplace modules.
- Map Visibility & Coordinates — Farmer location and map visibility are processed only for discovery features the farmer has opted in to.
- Ratings & Connections — Quality and reliability ratings are processed to support trusted buyer-farmer interactions.
How We Use Your Data
We use collected data solely to operate, secure, and improve your experience. We do not sell your data.
- To provide and maintain the App — syncing your farm data reliably across devices.
- To enable interactive features — including PDF report generation, batch analytics, and financial statements.
- To provide customer support when you contact us with questions or issues.
- To monitor and improve App performance based on usage patterns and diagnostic data.
- To detect and resolve technical issues and prevent security vulnerabilities.
- To enforce your privacy settings — including marketplace consent rules and location-controlled features.
Service Providers
We use trusted third-party services to power the App. These providers have access to your data only to perform specific tasks on our behalf and are contractually obligated never to use it for any other purpose.
Marketplace Privacy: If a farmer has not granted marketplace consent, their storefront data is excluded from buyer discovery — no exceptions.
- Firebase Authentication — Manages user accounts and secure logins across platforms.
- Cloud Firestore — Stores your farm data securely with per-user access control rules.
- Firebase Crashlytics — Tracks app stability and helps us identify and fix crashes quickly.
Data Retention & Deletion
We retain your data only as long as necessary to provide the App's services. You are in full control of your data and can delete it at any time.
- In-App Deletion — Delete specific batches, records, or entries directly within the App at any time with immediate effect.
- Account Deletion — To completely remove your account and all associated data from our servers, contact us by email. Requests are processed within 30 days.
To request full account and data deletion, email tatendachipwanya@gmail.com with your registered email address. We will confirm receipt and process your request within 30 days.
Security of Data
The security of your data is a core commitment. We implement industry-standard measures across every layer of the stack.
- HTTPS / TLS Encryption — All data transmitted between the App and Firebase servers is fully encrypted in transit.
- Firebase Security Rules — Per-user access control ensures only you can read and write your own records.
- Secure Authentication — Firebase Authentication follows industry best practices for credential storage and session management.
Please note: no method of transmission over the Internet is 100% secure. While we use commercially acceptable means to protect your data, we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Children's Privacy
Our App is designed for agricultural and business use and is not intended for anyone under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from children under 13.
If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided us with personal data, contact us immediately at tatendachipwanya@gmail.com and we will promptly delete the information.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any material changes by posting the updated policy in-app and updating the "Last updated" date at the top of this page.
